1886 übernahm Carl Wenzel Pertl, der bereits seit 1882 Danzers Orpheum als Varietébühne führte, das Dritte Kaffeehaus im Prater, das schon zuvor unter Anton Dreher und Anton Ronacher eine wichtige Aufführungsstätte für Singspiele, Theaterstücke und Operetten war. Das Haus wurde in den Folgejahren unter dem Namen “Pertl’s Etablissement” als Sommerspielstätte für gemischte Programme weitergeführt.
